Bravely

Bravely is a residential community for women who have survived lives of commercial sexual exploitation (trafficking and prostitution), violence and addiction. Located in the Old North neighborhood of St. Louis, we help women heal and rebuild their lives through free long-term housing, medical care, trauma therapy, education, and job readiness. Education, planning and case management for residents to build community and support their recovery.

Evening Residence Manager duties include to:

  • Maintain schedule and provide transportation for evening NA meetings either in-house or in community.
  • Attend all Bravely staff meetings and any staff workshops/retreats.
  • Conduct random house/chore checks to insure sure that house is kept safe and orderly and/or that residents are in place at curfew.
  • Coordinate any needed house repairs with contractors and/or the Executive Director and facilities experts on the Board of Directors.
  • Maintain supplies, conduct and record random urine drug screens for all residents.
  • Assist with transportation for resident appointments.
  • Participate in Friday afternoon community meetings.
  • Provide recovery and peer support to residents on evenings and weekends that includes coordinating in-house or community-based 12-Step meeting attendance, crisis intervention, conflict resolution and one-on-one support for relapse prevention.
  • Provide initial crisis intervention and support for residents and graduates on an as needed basis.
  • Communicate concerns about resident performance in timely manner to Bravely Clinical Case Manager.
  • Provide assistance to Bravely’s Clinical Case Manager and Executive Director when needed with individual client needs or overall program issues.
  • Assist with transportation for resident appointments when needed.
  • Monthly inventory and house grocery shops for supplies for residents and house.
  • Provide assistance to Bravely’s development staff/volunteer coordinator to plan volunteer work days.
