Crossroads College Preparatory School

The Director of Advancement and Enrollment Management serves as a member of the senior leadership team and provides strategic and operational leadership for development, admissions, communications, and marketing. The Director of Advancement plays a vital role in our community and will be expected to build on Crossroads’ development efforts and strengthen the enrollment management plan to achieve enrollment and revenue goals.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Development & Fundraising

  • Develop, implement, and execute a comprehensive fundraising program including annual giving, major gifts, capital gifts, and special events.
  • Identify prospective donors for both annual and major gifts in the local community and beyond.
  • Maintain relationships with a portfolio of donors, cultivating them toward meaningful support of the school.
  • Coordinate Head of School with the maintenance and cultivation of donor relationships.
  • Plan and oversee fundraising events, including the annual Gala for Scholarship.
  • Provide oversight of parent programming and volunteers, including Parents Ambassadors and other parent efforts.
  • Maintain a visible presence in the school community by attending major school events in order to engage prospects and donors and build relationships.
  • Oversee and manage the Development Committee of the Board of Directors.

Advancement Team Leadership

  • Provide leadership and supervision of the Director of Admission and Communications Coordinator.
  • Develop and administer the budget for the Advancement department.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of an effective marketing and communications plan that reflects Crossroads’ mission and values.
  • Provide leadership and oversee the development and implementation of an effective recruitment, admissions, and retention strategy.
  • Ensure effective collaboration between staff toward fundraising and net tuition goals.
  • Serve as a member of the Financial Aid Committee to develop and implement mission-driven financial aid philosophy, policies, and procedures, and award need-based financial aid.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, CFRE preferred
  • 5 years of fundraising experience with proven ability to secure support at various levels
  • Experience working in schools, independent school experience preferred
  • Experience managing a team of both professionals and volunteers
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills
  • Budget management skills including budget preparation, analysis, decision-making, and reporting
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong organizational abilities including collaborating, planning, delegating, and task facilitation
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with staff with a “hands-on” approach, and the humility to be willing to take on any task at any time
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and familiarity with school database systems
