Youth In Need

Youth In Need invites inquiries, nominations, and letters of interest as we begin our search for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Youth In Need is a leading nonprofit organization that serves children, youth, and families in St. Louis and the surrounding counties. The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for managing all fiscal operations for our multi-million dollar agency.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the CFO serves as a member of the Executive Management Team and other key internal committees. The CFO is accountable for a broad range of responsibilities, including developing a multi-year business plan and financial forecasting functions. The CFO is responsible for reporting to the Board of Directors on audits and monthly financial activities of the agency, as well as developing long- and short-term risk and reward assessments for current and potential lines of business, and budgets and narratives for federal, state and local grants and/or funders. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, identifyingpotential growth strategies and creative revenue generation options; negotiation and coordination of all major leases and property management contracts with program leadership; identifying and administering liability lines of coverage; overseeing procurement of capital items; facility maintenance and management, vehicle fleet management; and management of information technology services and telecommunication systems.

Youth In Need seeks a dynamic and innovative CFO with management experience at an executive level that has demonstrated over five years of successful experience in cost accounting. Candidates must have experience with risk management, compliance programs, and coordinating with Operations. Ideal candidates will have an MBA or Masters in Finance and/or a CPA certification. The right candidate will have a strong commitment in advancing Youth In Need’s mission and initiatives towards becoming an anti-bias/anti-racist organization.
