About the Math Fellow Role:

Blueprint Math Fellows provide students with highly personalized tutoring in mathematics as part of their regular school day and/or after school. In person, Fellows work with groups of up to four students at a time.

Math Fellows deliver individualized lessons and work closely with teachers to accelerate students’ academic achievement. Fellows also build strong relationships with students and increase their self-confidence in math and motivation to do well in school and in life. Our students see their Fellows as mentors, advocates and as passionate adults who make learning math understandable and fun.

Given that many Fellows join Blueprint without much prior teaching or tutoring experience, they receive extensive support from Blueprint Site Managers who provide weekly observation and feedback sessions, core lesson plans, data on student progress and support for classroom management. Training is comprehensive and continues throughout the year.
