Have you ever wondered what goes into making the Girl Scout Cookie Program an important and fun part of the overall Girl Scout experience? The Product Programs Manager is the perfect position for individuals ready to make a direct and lasting impact on the leadership development of girls across eastern Missouri.

Work behind the scenes of the largest girl-led business in the world as you help implement strategies to support Girl Scouts and volunteers. With creativity and innovation, you’ll develop the volunteer training program, rewards programs for girls and work collaboratively to make sure members are motivated, prepared and excited to participate in the Girl Scout Cookie Program and the fall nut/candy program. The ideal candidate will enjoy building relationships with volunteers and collaborating with other departments, who are invested in supporting the next generation of female entrepreneurs.

Salary: $42,000 – $45,000

Essential functions:

  • Manages cookie booth program, including securing small business partnership agreements and supporting troops through the booth phase of the program
  • Works with team to develop training materials and schedule; facilitates training around the council as needed; records audio trainings for online resource
  • Contributes to and communicates to volunteers step-by-step training Develops, manages, and delivers girl program events
  • Creates content for internal and external product programs collateral and communications in collaboration with Marketing & Communication, including via publications, email, and website; recommends key messaging for the promotion of Girl Scout product programs
  •  Provides excellent customer service and support to internal and external customers, including during high-volume times which will include some evening and weekend hours
  • Supports the organizational diversity and fund development goals of the organization

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree preferred, or equivalent work experience required
  • 2 years communications or marketing experience
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, and communicate to staff members, and volunteers
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, meet deadlines and deal with changing priorities, strong planning, and organization skills a must
  •  Must have knowledge of MS Office program, including excellent knowledge of Excel
  • Must have excellent writing, proofreading, and communication skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to present new information in effective ways
  • High degree of professionalism, initiative, and customer service skill
  •  Must have the necessary skills required to collect, evaluate, and creatively utilize data in planning and problem-solving
  •  Demonstrated ability to successfully handle conflict resolution at all levels
  • Must be able to maintain a flexible work schedule that can consist of evening and weekend hours during peak seasons
