Donald Danforth Plant Science Center
Description: The Donald Danforth Plant Science Center (DDPSC) in St. Louis, MO seeks an entry level Staff Accountant. The position will join the Finance and Accounting team and report to the Controller.
Responsibilities:
Preparing general ledger journal entries
Daily maintenance of the cash register and cash log
Preparation of monthly account reconciliations for select asset and liability account balances
Assist in the annual audit and tax return schedule preparation
Special projects and general accounting work as needed
Assist with updating policies and procedures
Assist other accounting personnel as needed
Other duties as assigned
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical skills and detail-oriented
Experience using general ledger software
Internally motivated team player and self-starter

Qualifications:
Bachelors’ degree in accounting
