Hope Happens for Neurological Disorders

Who we are:

Hope Happens is a not-for-profit entity that strives to provide hope and improve the quality of life for those connected to a Neurological Disorders by funding collaborative research at the Hope Center for Neurological Disorders and raising neurological disorder awareness.

Our vision is a world in which neurological diseases are treatable or preventable.

General Responsibilities:

  • Creating and managing a marketing and development plan with the Director of Operations.
  • Creating social media, e blasts and web content.
  • Managing Hope Happens website to ensure consistent messaging, up-to-date information and dynamic content.
  • Work with Director of Operations on outreach strategies for donors.
  • Designs, implements, and manages all aspects of the annual appeal campaigns with an emphasis on initiatives to increase donor retention and acquisition.
  • Oversees branding, image, and consistency of messaging; designs and produces all fundraising, marketing, and outreach strategies/materials including website content, direct mail, newsletters, social media posts, signage, and more.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

  • Knowledge of and experience with nonprofit marketing and development; social media management and website management, e-mail and other outreach tools; and working with supporters and donors, are important.
  • Ability to understand trends in digital technologies and adapt as necessary.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, work independently and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Strong writing, editing, and graphic design skills.
  • Meet all deadlines in accordance with event timelines including the development of materials such as a save the date postcards, sponsorship menus and letters, invitation suites, event website design, signage, and press releases.
  • Ensure the fulfillment of all sponsor and donor benefits including recognition on social media.
  • Responsible for helping support the organization outside of development and marketing when needed in the areas of administration and operations.

Compensation:

Part-Time role (15-20 hours a week with additional hours during the weeks leading up to events) with highly flexible schedule. Some weekend availability will be required with fundraising events. Compensation commensurate with experience and background.  Salary is $22/hr.
