As a Grants Analyst/Sr. Grants Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our faculty and staff in securing external funding for research, academic projects, and strategic initiatives that contribute to the University’s mission.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Grants Analyst/Sr. Grants Analyst to join our Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP). Reporting to the Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Research, you will be responsible for driving the pre- and post-award activities, ensuring compliance with University and agency guidelines.

Responsibilities:

– Partner with faculty, staff, and administrative colleagues to support external grantseeking efforts primarily within the areas of faculty research and academic projects.

– Collaborate with the AVP of Research to contribute to the annual grants strategy, ensuring alignment with the University’s goals and objectives.

– Coordinate and make program inquiries to identify potential funding opportunities and evaluate their suitability for the University’s initiatives.

– Support faculty, staff, and administrators in the development and submission of external funding proposals, adhering to University and agency-specific policies and procedures.

– Assist in the planning, execution, and management of major grant initiatives, contributing to their overall success.

– Provide guidance and support to Principal Investigators (PIs) and other stakeholders regarding reporting, invoicing, budgetary activities, and compliance with grant requirements.

– Stay abreast of changes in funding regulations and best practices, and proactively communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.

– Foster strong relationships with funding agencies, maintaining effective communication and promoting collaboration between the University and external partners.

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Master’s degree preferred).

– Proven experience in pre-award and post-award grant management, preferably in an academic or research environment.

– Strong knowledge of grant funding sources, agencies, and regulations.

– Familiarity with university research policies and procedures.

– Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

– Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in managing grant-related documentation and budgets.

– Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and build strong relationships.

– Proficiency in using relevant grant management software and tools.

– Demonstrated commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards in grantseeking and management.
