PROCUREMENT / COMPLIANCE OFFICER

Position Summary:

BioSTL is hiring a Procurement /Compliance Officer role to provide management to all procurement processes, including purchasing negotiation, contract review, RFP process and grant compliance related to these items.

This role is a full-time, salaried position reporting to the Vice President of Finance working broadly across the organization on all compliance aspects.

The available position allows for different degrees of supporting or leadership roles, commensurate with demonstrated experience:

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for all RFP requests, process and procedures, compliance with grants, and selection process.
Global negotiations as needed for bulk purchases (copiers, leases, office supplies, lab equipment, etc.)
Delegation of Authority implementation and compliance.
Compliance related to DOA, invoice approval, Grants, etc.
Assistance with Grant compliance, including reporting, grant draws for contractual spend, and support for procurement process documentation.
Required Qualifications:
5 to 7 years of Purchasing experience.
Familiarity with EDA and other Federal Agency Grant related to compliance a plus.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in accounting, business, or related field.
Highest personal and professional integrity.

Excellent inquiry, persuasive, collaborative, and communication skills, both with internal and external audiences; ability to excel in both a team setting and independently; excellent listener; ability to dissect and understand complex business issues; ability to see the big picture and not get mired in minutia; excellent judgment; prioritization and project planning skills.
