SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Director, Girl Recruitment and Outreach is responsible for providing strategic leadership and management for recruitment and outreach efforts for our Council. The position will lead, implement, monitor, and adjust resources, activities and responsibilities related to recruitment and enrollment.  Reporting to the Chief Membership and Marketing Officer, the Director, Girl Recruitment and Outreach will lead the development and administration of all existing enrollment practices, policies, and procedures to support the overall Council recruitment goals for the eastern Missouri region.

The Director, Girl Recruitment and Outreach will assist in the development and implementation of a recruitment plan to generate interest for the enrollment and retention of girls throughout our twenty-eight (28) Eastern Missouri counties. The Director will provide innovative, strategic leadership by recruiting and enrolling girls utilizing current best practices, including integrated marketing, branding, communications, and operations. This position is responsible for the analysis of information and data necessary to create and communicate Council-wide strategic enrollment and recruitment goals.

The Director, Girl Recruitment and Outreach is a leadership role within the Membership and Marketing unit and is expected to work collaboratively and strategically with all key stakeholders to drive prospect interest and enrollment while demonstrating a strong sense of belonging for all.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1.    Direct oversight and administrative responsibility for areas related to recruitment and enrollment operations.

2.    Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of programs to support girl recruitment, enrollment, and communication activities and events.

3.    Provide leadership and direction for Girl Recruitment and Outreach in the areas of fiscal responsibility, efficient and effective recruitment practices, and a clear and consistent onboarding for prospective and enrolled members.

4.    Support CMMO and CEO in building strong working partnerships with K12, higher education, and community partners to support efforts to increase girl access and strategic enrollment plans.

5.    Identify and recommend improvements to departmental structure in an effort to streamline processes while reinvesting in new and emerging initiatives and needs.

6.    Analyze and monitor metrics for measurement of all recruitment and enrollment activities and functions to report on ROI and effectiveness of resource allocation.

7.    Provide ongoing assessment of recruitment and enrollment functions to determine effectiveness of outreach events, large event days, and in school outreach efforts.

8.    Evaluate and direct recruitment activity and enrollment within existing territories, focus on customer service, and develop relationships with prospective girls.

9.    Build and maintain strong collaborative partnerships with guidance counselors and other key constituents to understand and respond to prospective girl needs.

10.  Coordinate all aspects of girl recruitment and outreach by onboarding prospective girls including the development and implementation of a comprehensive enrollment strategy that attracts, recruits, and registers all girls in the Council.

11.  Represent the Council at regional events, conferences, and meetings to build relationships with stakeholders and promote Council knowledge and program opportunities for girls.

12.  Create and lead recruitment activities targeting the goals and objectives outlined in the strategic plan for territory management.

13.  Collaboratively develop strategies to meet Council enrollment goals by actively participating in a variety of enrollment planning and management processes.

14.  Review and approve the marketing and communication plans in support of the recruitment plan, travel activities and girl recruitment experience.

15.  Ensure the effectiveness of all programs and events conducted by the Council, including programming for prospective girls, registered girls, high school counselors and community partners.

16.  Develop and present new recruitment strategies and programs that will advance the recruitment, operations, and visit goals of the Council.

17.  Provide leadership oversight and support for the department’s budget and fiscal operations.

18.  Manage a portfolio of strategic partnerships, overseeing their progress, outcomes and impact on the Council.

19.  Provide leadership and support on effective use of Council and GSUSA resources to meet recruitment goals.

20.  Work with the CMMO and CFAO to monitor and evaluate the annual department budget.

21.  Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

·         Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.

·         Candidates should have at least 4-6 years of recruitment leadership experience.

·         Computer skills are required, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems, in addition to various additional applications (Mongoose, Calendly, SLATE, Salesforce, etc.)

·         Strong proficiency with recruitment and enrollment strategies and best practices for territory management and strategic recruitment planning.

·         Excellent organizational, analytical, and administrative skills are essential, along with the ability to effectively communicate to various constituencies.

·         Must be able to work across Council departments, demonstrate success in prior positions.

·         Strong supervisory and staff development skills and exhibit a proven commitment to diversity.

·         A strong understanding of current issues within the recruitment and enrollment management profession is highly desirable.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

If your position requires that you drive an average of one (1) day per week or more, you must possess a valid state driver’s license and a driving record that is acceptable to our insurance carrier.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must be able to withstand:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Operate office equipment manually.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to twenty-five pounds at times.

EXPOSURES

Work is primarily performed in a normal indoor environment with limited exposure to outdoor weather conditions, dirt and/or dust.
