Reporting to the Controller and having significant interaction with the CFO, this individual plays a crucial role in the long-range financial planning process, overseeing annual budgeting, forecasting, monthly reporting and identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for growth.

The successful candidate is a strategic problem solver who partners well with individuals throughout the organization and at all levels, analyzing and communicating data, all the while supporting the impactful work of the SLSO. This is a part time role working approximately 20 hours per week. There may be an opportunity for expanded responsibilities or additional hours in the future.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Manage annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.

-Analyze and prepare monthly financial data, identify trends, risks, opportunities for growth and potential outcomes/returns. Analyze past financial performance and examine market trends.

-Prepare accurate and meaningful financial reports, providing financial insights and projections to the accounting team; escalate issues to leadership.

-Develop complex financial models to support decision making.

-Work with SLSO staff on budgeting and forecasting, enabling these teams to deliver on financial and business objectives to support organization success. Consolidate and maintain master budgets.

-Develop, implement, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) on an ongoing basis. Complete ad-hoc requests as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

-3+ years of financial analysis and financial modeling experience. 2+ years of strategic analysis & planning.

-Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related area. CFA or CPA a plus.

-Advanced Microsoft Excel – financial modeling, forecasting, graphs, charts, pivots, macros.

-Highly organized with knowledge of current accounting practices; interest in learning and continuously developing financial planning and analysis skills and technical skills.

-Analyze facts and circumstances surrounding individual problems or transactions and arrive at recommendations.

-Proven experience building relationships and communicating with business partners to achieve results.
