SUMMARY: The Development Manager is responsible for promoting the agency to constituents and securing financial gift support for Caring Solutions. The Development Manager assists the Director of Development who plans and coordinates all Caring Solutions development activities in cooperation with other development staff, the Board’s Development Committee and under supervision of the Executive Director. Development activities include communicating with and solicitation of major donors, individual and corporate giving, volunteers and special events, annual appeals and planned giving.
This position has the potential to offer advancement into the Director of Development position.

· Knowledge of all aspects of fund raising, marketing, and public relations.
· Ability to design, evaluate, and monitor development programs.
· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with agency’s departmental staff, volunteers, donors, and other members of the community.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree in communications, marketing, business or human services field desired.
3-5 years direct development work experience required.
Excellent writing and public speaking skills, experience working with major donors, writing grant requests, preparing annual fundraising plans and reports for the organization and donors planning/writing timely appeals, acknowledgement letters and marketing materials.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
