The Advancement Assistant serves as an office coordinator, gift specialist, and provides executive support for the Vice President, the Senior Director of Leadership Giving, and the leadership giving team. The Advancement Assistant reports to the Vice President of Advancement.
Manage office calendars, supplies, mailings, and practicalities for the day to day operations of the Advancement department.
Prepare and support meetings, projects, and the needs of departmental leadership.
Process charitable gifts, produce and mail letters, and assist with database management.
Provides assistance on both small and large-scale events projects.
Desire to support the Jesuit Catholic mission of St. Louis U. High, especially the school’s commitment to secure resources for 100% of the financial need for deserving students.
Proficiency across digital platforms and the ability to learn new software systems is required.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, effectively coordinating colleagues and volunteers on various projects.
Demonstrate expertise in efficiently handling gift processing tasks and maintaining accurate data entry records.
Experience in managing mailing processes, ensuring timely and accurate distribution of materials.
Proven ability to oversee and successfully manage multi-faceted projects, showcasing organizational and coordination skills.
Comfortable multitasking, prioritizing tasks, and adeptly managing competing demands.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
At least five years of experience in a high level administrative support role, or equivalent experience with project management.
Ability to provide physical support for events and gatherings. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 lbs.
Availability to work occasional evening and weekend events.
