About Loaves and Fishes for St. Louis:
Founded in 1982, the mission of Loaves and Fishes for St. Louis is to provide uplifting and supportive services that empower our clients to become financially secure and have a stable home. We aim to provide support for the homeless through our homeless services, as well as assistance with food needs through our food pantry. Additionally, we prioritize prevention efforts to address the root causes of homelessness.
Job Summary:
The Grant Manager is responsible for researching grantmakers, funders, and resources appropriate to the program’s funding needs. Accountable for creating a grant schedule, grant proposals, reports, and compliance reporting (corporate and governmental) in an organized and professional manner.
Qualifications:
- Two to five years of grant writing experience.
- Experience in best practices for grant research, planning, management, reporting, and award acknowledgment.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, donor database software, and governmental reporting programs.
- Positive attitude with the ability to be a team player.
- Self-starter with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
The Grant Manager is a part of the Development team and will report to the Development Director. This is a full-time position with occasional evening and weekend hours.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and write competitive grant proposals to private, governmental, and corporate/ foundations.
- Manage the collection of compliance reporting for governmental grants.
- Manage the renewal process of all grants.
- Monthly reporting of grant acquisition.
- Maintain an organized grant calendar.
- Oversee and maintain all private, corporate, and foundation grants.
- Grant compliance and reporting: Collect proper documents, reports, and other required documentation for all grant reporting, both private and governmental.
- Maintain up-to-date data on eligibility, requirements, and reporting documentation.
- Actively seek prospective foundations and contacts for new sources of funding that align with our mission and programs.
- Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned upon request.
Employment Information:
Full-time – Monday – Friday, 9am until 5pm.
Benefits include – supplementary insurance (medical/dental/vision), 401(k), 120 hours of PTO (after 90 days), and 13 paid holidays.
