Temporary Marketing Coordinator

Salary Range: $20.00 – $25.00 an hour depending upon experience and qualifications

Job Status: Temporary, Part Time

Employment Duration: May 13, 2024 – September 20, 2023[CA1]  (19 Weeks)

Regular Schedule: 30 hours a week, Monday-Friday, 8am CT- 2pm CT, may be flexible depending upon candidate’s schedule and business needs

Office Environment: Hybrid working (majority remote and occasional in-office work may be necessary, at the discretion of the Associate Director, Marketing and Partnerships and BGS Executive Director). Brick and mortar office located in Maryland Heights, MO.

Location: Candidates in the St. Louis, MO area strongly preferred. Consideration may be given to other candidates based on qualifications.

Who we are seeking:

Beta Gamma Sigma is seeking a part-time Temporary Marketing Coordinator. During this short-term assignment, you will work closely with the Beta Gamma Sigma marketing team to support email marketing, content editing and general marketing. We are a small, tight-knit team that values communication and a free flow of ideas that can help our organization reach out to all BGS members across the globe. The ideal candidate is one who is innovative, self-motivated, and works well with deadlines.

The individual chosen for this role will be temporarily employed part-time from May 13th, 2024, until September 20th, 2024, in order to fill in for a permanent staff member on leave.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the creation and scheduling of the organization’s email marketing at the direction of the Associate Director, Marketing & Partnerships
  • Review content used for various marketing purposes, such as email, promotional materials and website updates
  • Compile and analyze weekly reports on key email metrics
  • Assist with the planning and execution of event marketing while working in tandem with the Associate Director, Marketing & Partnerships and Manager, Programs & Alumni Engagement
  • Aid in the creation of various graphics such as logos, signage and program materials

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or communications preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in marketing, communications or related field
  • Experience with email creation and layout. Experience using ClickDimensions software is a plus.
  • Experience working with association management systems/customer management systems. Experience specifically with Microsoft Dynamics CRM is a plus.
  • Copywriting and editing experience
  • Experience with Canva design tools
  • Website design and layout knowledge is a plus
  • Knowledge of working with member-based organizations and/or associations preferred
