POSITION SUMMARY:  The Individual Giving Manager is responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with individual donors to secure financial support to advance the mission and objectives of Forest Park Forever.

DESCRIPTION

FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

Build and maintain a portfolio of 150-200 prospects.

Collaborates with the Director of Development & Campaigns on campaign strategy.

Work with the Development Team, Campaign Cabinet, Board Members and consultant to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward prospects.

Take action to meet major gift and annual fund goals.

Arrange cultivation and solicitation visits with donors and prospects.

Provide consistent follow-up post meetings, events, and other activities to secure commitments or move relationships forward.

Track and reports relationship-management activity using Raiser’s Edge.

Forge and maintain strong relationships with donors, volunteers, and FPF staff.

Manage expenses as budgeted.

Participate in organizational events and programs that will assist in the facilitation of securing major gifts.

REQUIREMENTS

POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field. Equivalent job experience will be considered.

Minimum of three (3) years of related experience.

Proven ability to solicit and secure major gifts.

Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Outlook & Office suite (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).

Working knowledge of fundraising platforms/programs.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to build relationships with individuals from varying backgrounds.

LICENSE(S)/CERTIFICATION(S) REQUIRED:  Valid driver’s license.

PHYSICAL WORK REQUIREMENTS/WORK CONDITIONS:

Constantly operates computers and other office equipment.

Frequently works in an indoor office environment.

Occasionally required to traverse the park over uneven terrain during events.

Occasionally lifts and moves materials up to 40 pounds.
