Overview
Position Summary
The Development Coordinator assists in stewarding donors and achieving fundraising goals by managing the donor databases and gift acknowledgement process. This position assists with the execution of all phases of three annual fundraisers of the agency; Trivia Night, Golf Tournament and Gala This position assures the Development team has timely, accurate and useful donor information and reports and provides general administrative support for the Director of Community Engagement and Philanthropy.
Organization Description
United Services for Children is a nonprofit organization that provides pediatric therapy and early intervention services to children of all abilities and offers support services for their families. We focus on children ages birth through 8 years old. Our center is located at 3420 Harry S Truman Boulevard in St. Charles, MO.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Everyday conditions are in a typical office environment at the agency. This position may require occasional weekend/evening work. Must be able to:

–      Visually and verbally respond to visitors, vendors, and parents.

–      Sit at a table/desk for most of the workday.

–      Access and maneuver between rooms throughout the building

–      Converse in person, via email and the telephone

–      Accurately operate all computer software pertinent to agency programs

–      Operate equipment

–      Lift and move up to 25 lbs. consistently and occasionally up to 45 lbs.

Requirements
Responsibilities
The Development Coordinator must:

–      Process all contributions and maintain written procedures for database management.

–      Acknowledge donor contributions and maintain donor records for the agency.

–      Provide support for fundraising events.

–      Ensure the accurate completion of tasks such as date entry, report generation, donor letters and documentation.

–      Solicit donations of goods to generate income from annual events.

–      Manage donor records and generate/analyze donor reports.

–      Balance receipts and payments from sponsorships, event donations, and donations via giving portals to coordinate with finance department.

–      Always model a standard of behavior consistent with agency expectations

Other duties may be assigned.
Education Qualifications
Requires at least a bachelor’s degree
Experience Qualifications
Requires working experience with a nonprofit agency in the fundraising department.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge: Must be able to use donor database giving software, mobile bidding, and retail payment processing.

Skills: Must have effective written, oral, and digital communication skills.

Abilities: Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products.  Must have experience in donor database systems (DonorPerfect) preferred.
