Wyman

Note: This role works year-round (including summer) supporting the Wyman Leaders Program and includes summer travel and lodging at postsecondary institutions, as well as evening and weekend post-secondary showcases, throughout the year.

The Experiential Learning Coordinator for 11th and 12th Grade is a member of the Wyman Leaders program team and is responsible for coordinating and managing the summer programming for rising 11th and 12th graders. The Coordinator provides support for this cohort to support teen progress towards college and career readiness and post-secondary success. This includes ongoing coaching, resources and connections to academic tools and supports. This position works collaboratively with the Wyman Leaders team during school-year programming in order to create a seamless multi-year program for participating teens.

During the summer, this role manages daily operations of the residential summer programming for rising 11th and 12th graders, including traveling with teens on college tours and staying overnight on college campuses. The coordinator will maintain a continued contact system for rising 11th and 12th graders, including high school visits to track college application and career readiness benchmarks, and will manage and cultivate relationships with external Wyman college access partners and schools to leverage programming for teens.

Qualified candidates will have at least 2-4 years of professional experience in college access programming and/or HS guidance counseling, and 1 year of youth development experience. Comparable experience may be considered. Ability to serve as a field instructor is preferred. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with an ability to serve diverse community populations and actively seek ways to collaborate with Leaders team members and across other Wyman programs. A Bachelor’s in education social work, psychology, or a related field is required (equivalent work experience may be considered).
