Job Description: The Senior Accountant for NOVUS Health will manage a budget of 12,000,000.00 annually, performing accounting duties that include the oversight and management of 340B program revenue, billing revenue cycle management, grant fund management, donation, and foundation income generation. Day to day will include work with accounts payable and receivable, balancing transactions daily. In addition, this position will work with each department to actualize and review annual budget projections, expenditures, and revenue expectations.
Reports to: CEO
Essential Job Functions:
– Responsible for Bank Account Reconciliation
– Responsible for Credit Card Reconciliation
– Performs general ledger balance sheet reconciliations, verify accuracy of data.
– Support monthly and year-end financial close, including assigned journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and accruals.
Management Duties:
– Manage month-end close process.
– Work with Anders CPA to ensure monthly and annual reports are in line with targeted goals.
– Work with each department Manager and/or Director to ensure program budgets are reviewed.
– Providing financial education and support to each department area.
– Oversight of grant funds from multiple sources including federal, State and foundation funding.
– Manage all transactions in QuickBooks or other accounting system as changes occur.
Audits and General Accounting:
– Assist in the preparation for annual fiscal audits.
– Work with outside accounting firm to prepare and complete annual 990.
– Maintain confidentiality on all financial matters.
– Projects and Other duties as assigned.
Board Responsibilities:
– Serve as a lead member of the Board of Directors Fiscal subcommittee.
– Provide the CEO with outlines of budget findings and monthly reporting.
– Present to the Board of Directors on Financial health of organization as requested and needed.
– Maintain strong communication with CEO regarding all financial matters.
Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with 3+ years of accounting experience, supervisory experience preferred. Familiarity with accounting and finance principles and procedures, past or present work with Federal grants particularly in healthcare or social service areas. Strong knowledge and proficient with Microsoft programs, QuickBooks and other account systems and data reporting sources.
