Finance Coordinator: Accounts Payable & Administrative Support
Optimist International, a leading international non-profit organization dedicated to bringing out the best in youth, communities, and individuals, is seeking an individual with a diverse skillset to join our team.
Location: Optimist International Headquarters Office, 4494 Lindell Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63108
Position Type: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
· Process accounts payable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
· Enter invoices into the accounting system and ensure appropriate general ledger coding. (Financial Edge Accounting Software)
· Maintain organized accounts payable files and documentation.
· Handle the processing and reconciliation of monthly credit card activity.
· Process payments to vendors via check or electronic funds transfer (EFT).
· Provide administrative support to the finance department as needed, including customer service related to Optimist Club insurance inquiries and assistance with annual audit workpapers.
· Handle general office functions, such as: managing office supplies and the coordination of equipment & facility maintenance.

Desired Qualifications:
· Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
· Three to five years of experience in accounts payable processing.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation.
· Effective communication skills.
· Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
· Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
