Cor Jesu Academy
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Own the school’s marketing strategy and brand identity to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with the school’s mission
· Develop and execute multi-channel marketing and communication plans to support the school’s goals and enhance brand awareness
· Manages the production of external publications, including but not limited to, print publications (i.e. school magazine), fundraising solicitations, admissions materials and annual report
· Develop and manage all internal and external communication, including executive writing for school president and other administration
· Responsible for the conceptual direction of school marketing, branding, photography, videography and publications
· Oversee the school’s social media platforms, as well as website strategy, design, contract and execution
· Manage Digital Communications Coordinator, both delegating tasks and collaborating to implement marketing initiatives
· Design marketing materials for various departments including admissions, alumnae relations, athletics and development; some materials designed internally, others are contracted with outside graphic designer
· Oversee design projects and manage the graphic designer relationship
· Serve as project manager for multi-step projects involving project creation, design, printing, and mail house coordination
· Serve as the school’s primary media contact, maintaining a network of external media contacts
· Responsible for crisis communication objectives, as relates to public information, unscheduled closings, etc.
· Serve as a school photographer, capturing various events in conjunction with Digital Communications Coordinator.
**NOTE: Occasional weekend and evening hours are required.
QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE
· Bachelor’s degree required; marketing, communications, journalism or similar degree preferred
· Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· A passion for Catholic education
· Prior experience in advancement, marketing, graphic design, public relations and/or community relations is a plus!
· Comprehensive understanding of SEO, as well as social media and digital platforms
· Excellent copywriting ability
· Understanding of (or willingness to learn) platforms utilized by the school, such as Google Workspace, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Canva, Finalsite, ON and Blackbaud communication tools
· Basic photography, videography and editing skills
· Willingness to respond to social media and communications needs outside of office hours and work weekends and evenings for Cor Jesu events as needed.
· Ability to collaborate with multiple departments, both internal and external, to produce projects in a timely manner.
Ideal applicant will be exceptionally organized and deadline-oriented with an innovative and collaborative spirit, eager to lead a team and represent Cor Jesu Academy. Must be able to drive and lift at least 25 pounds. Driver’s license and reliable transportation required; nights and weekends required as needed. This is a 12 month per year position.
