National Council of the US Society of St. Vincent de Paul

Salary Range:       $50,000 – $55, 000 annually depending on qualifications

Objectives:
Under the guidance of the National Director of Membership Services, the National Membership Services & Youth & Young Adults Manager supports membership services and youth and young adults’ growth potential in parishes, schools and colleges throughout the country.

Assist the National Director of Membership Services with annual reports collection, aggregation and institution process and management, solidarity collections and communications and other duties as the director deems necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
–          Prepare weekly E-Gazette and member communications.

–          Assist supervisor with membership services duties and database management.

–          Assist with solidarity and annual reporting duties.

–          Manage and support national youth and young adults’ efforts to assist regions and Councils with growth and development.

–          Encourage and promote the benefits of the Society to members at all levels.

–          Management of Y&YA leads received at the national office.

–          Manage, promote, and encourage national Y&YA materials and resources.

–          Build relationships and membership growth for Y&YA members (especially Colleges and Universities).

–          Establish and maintain statistical data for Y&YA growth.

–          Process New Conference Applications, reactivation & dissolved Conference requests.

–          Support the national Y&YA committee.

–          Some travel involved to assist with Y&YA formation and presentations.

–          Promote and provide information to target Y&YA markets on service projects, spiritual formation, membership, poverty, and special works programs.

–          Other assignments as determined by supervisor.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience Requirements:
–                      Strong knowledge of not-for-profit organization operations.

–                      Strong knowledge of organizational development and management.

–                      Excellent communications skills: verbal and written.

–                      Knowledge of Catholic Church teachings.

–                      Computer literacy.

–                      Bachelor’s degree required. Emphasis in Marketing or related field preferred.

–                      Remote work option possible.

Scope/Complexity:
–                      Be a strong support to Vincentian servant leaders throughout the country.

–                      Be the contact for extension growth and revitalization development throughout the Society.

–                      A passion for and a demonstrated commitment to convey the mission, vision, values, and plans of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.

–                      Requires willingness and ability to travel nationally.

–                      Supports the Rule and by-laws of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.

–                      Prepares and accomplishes annual performance and program objectives.
