Are you a passionate fundraising professional eager to make a real difference in the world? Meds & Food for Kids is seeking a fundraising and development leader to join our mission of saving lives and transforming futures. As a small nonprofit NGO with 20+ years of experience, we specialize in treating malnourished children and mothers, training farmers, and creating jobs in Haiti. We produce ready-to-use therapeutic food for distribution in Haiti.
We are now entering a new phase of exponential growth, fueled by global recognition of the impact of our model on strengthening food systems and breaking the cycle of poverty. The world is increasingly seeking localized solutions like ours to end malnutrition and create sustainable, resilient economic development.
Responsibilities:
- Design, lead, and oversee the organization’s overall fundraising strategy, including major gifts, corporate partnerships, planned giving, and annual campaigns.
- Collaborate with the CEO and Board of Directors to set fundraising priorities and long-term development goals, a cost-effective annual plan, and assist with the development of our next strategic plan.
- Manage key relationships with key stakeholders, including major (high-level) donors, corporate partners, and foundations. Oversee the management of relationships between general to mid-level donors by the development manager.
- Diversify revenue sources beyond the St. Louis area.
Who We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven success in securing and managing major gifts, corporate sponsorships, and long-term funding commitments.
- Leadership skills, with experience in managing teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in donor-facing and public relations roles.
- Proficiency in using donor databases and CRM software (e.g., Donorperfect, Raiser’s Edge) is preferred.
- Experience in Communications, Events, Donor Relationship Management, and Grants is a plus.

This job is a full-time position, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. This is a position that is expected to be self-directed and demonstrate leadership in office policies and protocols. The position offers full health care benefits (medical, dental, and vision) and a Simple IRA with a 3% matching employer contribution. Paid time off includes 3 weeks of vacation plus five days of personal/sick leave. The pleasant, small office environment is in the Webster Groves / Shrewsbury area.
