Meds and Food For Kids

Meds & Food for Kids, an organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and families in Haiti by providing life-saving nutritional support, seeks a passionate and skilled Finance Manager to join our team in St. Louis. Responsibilities:
- Lead all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and compliance.
- Monitor financial transactions such as invoices, expense reimbursements, and vendor payments.
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
- Oversee US payroll processing with 3rd party provider.
- Assist in assembling and presenting annual budgets, financial forecasts, and grant budgets.
- Monitor budget performance, conduct variance analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare financial reports for management, the Board of Directors, and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial policies & procedures, and GAAP.
- Manage external audits and serve as the primary contact for auditors.
- Handle financial management of donor-restricted funds.
- Apply cost accounting principles to the manufacturing sector of MFK.
- Oversee inventory valuation with the Business Coordinator.
- Other duties, as assigned by the CEO.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.
- 3-5 years of financial management experience, preferably with non-profits.
- Strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, and a high level of accountability.

This job is a full-time position, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. This is a position that is expected to be self-directed and demonstrate leadership in office policies and protocols. The position offers full health care benefits (medical, dental, and vision) and a Simple IRA with a 3% matching employer contribution. Paid time off includes 3 weeks of vacation plus five days of personal/sick leave. The pleasant, small office environment is in the Webster Groves / Shrewsbury area.
