JOB SUMMARY

The Development Database Manager is responsible for management of the financial and biographical data within the department’s database. In addition, the individual will process gift transactions, maintain the integrity of donor records, and generate queries, exports, and reports for data analysis, donor information, and constituent lists.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Enter gifts and reconcile daily and monthly gift reports with the Business Office
Design queries and exports for data analysis, donor information, and constituent lists
Maintain database integrity through regular data audits, elimination of duplicate records, production and verification of financial and fundraising reports
Manage data entry process by working closely with the Development team to identify and track key information
Develop monthly comparative and projection reports to track fundraising progress for Annual Giving, including reunion class gifts and major gifts
Train current and new users in database usage and provide technical support
Assist members in the Development Office as needed with event planning and execution
Perform prospect research to assist major gift fundraising efforts
Represent the Department on the Operations and Administration Experience Team
Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the School’s discretion

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Related database experience in fundraising or finance mandatory, proficiency in Veracross or other dedicated fundraising software preferred
Minimum of two years in database management or relevant experience
Advanced user of Microsoft Office, including Excel
Experience with iWave, LexisNexis, and PowerBI preferred
Proven ability to multitask with a very high level of output and accuracy in a fast-paced environment
Well-organized and self-directed
Strong organizational abilities with good judgment in establishing priorities and meeting deadlines
High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
College degree or equivalent educational experience
Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends at key times of the year

OTHER INFORMATION

A criminal history and background check is required and must be successfully completed.
Generally, works in standard office conditions and climate.
May work at a desk and computer for extended periods of time.
May work in varied extreme outside weather conditions during special activities and fundraising events.
Light physical activity. Work may involve occasional assistance of others in the manipulation of heavy objects and some standing or walking for extended periods of time.
