Administrative Coordinator – Clergy Office
Reports to: Senior Rabbi
Salary Range: $45,000-$50,000
Congregation B’nai Amoona is a vibrant Conservative Jewish congregation located in Creve Coeur, Missouri. With over 650 households, our 33-acre campus includes worship spaces, administrative offices, educational programs, three kitchens, banquet facilities, an Early Childhood Center, and an independent Jewish Day School. During the summer, we host a dynamic camp program within our facility and on our extensive grounds.
We seek a dedicated Administrative Coordinator to support our Clergy Office, which includes the Senior Rabbi, Assistant Rabbi, and Cantor. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the clergy’s daily administrative needs while providing a welcoming and professional presence for congregants and visitors. While primarily a weekly job, occasional weekend and evening work may be required, as well as working on Jewish Holidays.

Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Rabbis and Cantor, managing day-to-day tasks efficiently including support adult education class and the B’nai Mitzvah process.
Manage discretionary fund banking accounts, including deposits, check writing and reconciliation.
Serve as the first point of contact for clergy-related inquiries, answering phones and greeting visitors with professionalism and warmth.
Provide administrative support for weekly Shabbat preparations including pulling and updating lists and preparing clergy packets.
Assist with the preparation and distribution of synagogue communications, including e-blasts, social media posts, condolences notices, donation acknowledgment letters, and other correspondence.
Maintain and update synagogue databases, ensuring accurate records and retrieval of information to support clergy, staff, and congregants.
Collaborate with clergy and administrative staff to support synagogue programming, lifecycle events, and holiday preparations.
Participate as part of the staff team in providing other services as required, such as answering phones and monitoring doors.
Ensure confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.
Learn and adapt to new software and processes as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of administrative experience, preferably in a professional office setting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite, including mail merge functions.
Experience with graphic software including Canva, Illustrator and Adobe Creative Suite.
Experience with database management; familiarity with ShulCloud is a plus.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally and compassionately with congregants, staff, and clergy.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
A high level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism when handling confidential matters.
Judaic knowledge is helpful but not required.
