Job Title: Corporate Philanthropy Advisor
Immediate Supervisor: Director of Philanthropy

General Description/Position Summary:
The St. Louis Foodbank is adding a Corporate Philanthropy Advisor to our dynamic and growing Philanthropy team! The Corporate Philanthropy Advisor has the primary responsibility of raising funds that best support the St. Louis Area Foodbank’s mission through building meaningful relationships and managing an existing corporate portfolio while engaging additional prospects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Working in partnership with the Director of Philanthropy, the Corporate Philanthropy Advisor will develop and implement strategies and tactics to:
- Increase donor engagement and giving through high-quality cultivation, asks, and stewardship across a portfolio of approximately 125 relationships. Activities include: phone calls, virtual and in-person meetings, presentations, emails, letter distributions, and event attendance.
- Identify prospects: organize and execute appropriate strategies for developing new and meaningful corporate partnerships that secure financial support.
- Deliver custom cultivation strategies and stewardship to corporate and business partners, leveraging cause marketing and employee giving, and the expertise and strengths of teams and departments across the Foodbank organization.
- Accurately maintain account records, including all activities, asks, presentations and outcomes in the Foodbank’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, Raiser’s Edge.
- Engage donor participation in the full range of the Foodbank’s events and programs such as: volunteering, special events and referrals.
- Represent St. Louis Area Foodbank at external functions.
Special events and other projects related to this position may require evening and/or weekend work. Meeting attendance may require overnight travel. - All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience working in a non-profit/community impact Philanthropy department is required.
- Passion for the Foodbank mission and a desire to excel in philanthropy and fundraising work.
- Strong public speaking/presentation skills.
- Excellent organization and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications such as but not limited to: Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, etc.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail, ability to handle interruptions, maintain focus on tasks and produce accurate work.
- Effective communication skills (oral & written).
- Ability to collect and analyze data to guide effective decision making.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.
