Position Summary
The Program Manager will oversee program coordinators while actively facilitating AAIR’s
core initiatives, including BREATH, RESCUE, and food allergy education programs. This role
is both strategic and hands-on—balancing leadership, oversight, and direct program
delivery. The ideal candidate will bring a fearless, collaborative, and solutions-focused
approach, committed to delivering measurable outcomes that improve children’s health and
strengthen community partnerships.

As AAIR continues to expand nationally, this part-time role is positioned for growth into a
full-time leadership position for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Oversight
– Supervise and support program coordinators, providing direction, coaching, and
professional development.
– Lead planning and alignment of program strategy with organizational goals.
– Promote a culture of continuous learning, equity, and measurable results.
– Ensure programs operate with a racial and economic equity lens and align with collective
impact best practices.
Hands-On Program Facilitation
– Directly facilitate program activities, trainings, and events as needed.
– Serve as primary contact for schools, community partners, and families.
– Troubleshoot challenges in real time, ensuring smooth, on-time and responsive program
delivery
Program Management & Evaluation
– Monitor and track program outcomes for BREATH, RESCUE, and food allergy initiatives.
– Oversee accurate and timely data collection in the Apricot database.
– Prepare concise monthly program reports for leadership and the Board.
– Identify opportunities for program innovation and expansion.
Partnership Development & Outreach
– Build and sustain relationships with schools, healthcare providers, and community
partners.
– Represent the organization at events, coalitions, and stakeholder meetings.
– Collaborate with the Development team to provide program stories, data, and impact
measures for fundraising.
Special Projects
– Lead planning and execution of the Asthma & Allergy Summit, bringing together partners,
providers, and community members.
– Assist in designing and launching new program initiatives in response to community
needs.

Required Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, public health, or related field (equivalent
experience considered).
– Minimum 6 years’ program management or coordination experience, preferably in a fast-
moving nonprofit or social serving entity
– Proven supervisory and leadership skills.
– Strong communication, relationship-building, and facilitation skills.
– Experience working in diverse and low-income communities.
– Proficient in database management and program reporting tools.
Preferred Qualifications
– Master’s degree in a related field or significant experience
– Asthma educator certification (AE-C) or strong knowledge of pediatric asthma and allergy
care.
– Understanding of public health, health equity, and social determinants of health.

Salary

Full time: $66,000-$80,000
Part Time option negotiable and commensurate with full time salary formula
