Position Summary
Big League Impact (BLI) is seeking a seasoned, dynamic and detail-oriented Development and Donor Relations Manager to support our nonprofit team. This full-time position will create and cultivate a portfolio of donors, drive fundraising initiatives and enhance donor engagement.
Responsibilities
Development + Fundraising
Develop major gift and individual giving programs focusing on acquisition, retention, and reacquisition of prospects with a primary focus on unrestricted giving and event sponsorships.
Lead and assist in the preparation of proposals, correspondence, and reports that contribute to major gifts.
Combine hands-on relationship management with strategic oversight, including budgeting, reporting, forecasting, and donor engagement.
Manage donor communications by working collaboratively with the Media Coordinator to assist with writing donor emails, newsletters, and impact stories that inspire support.
Collaborate with the Executive Director to implement annual fundraising strategies to ensure short and long-term fundraising success.
Event Sponsorships + Auctions
Secure and manage event sponsorships by identifying prospects, developing tailored proposals, and cultivating long-term partnerships to maximize revenue and brand alignment.
Acquire autographed memorabilia, miscellaneous items, special experiences and packages, manage inventory, and facilitate silent and live auctions at all organization events.
Manage inventory of autographed memorabilia to be utilized as prizes for events and digital contests, as well as organize award fulfillment.
Coordinate at least once annually, an online auction of acquired autographed memorabilia.
General + Administrative
Track donor, media, and partner engagement using a CRM platform.
Create reporting/tracking mechanisms to measure progress against annual goals.
Provide administrative support to the Executive Director as needed.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 3–5 years of experience working in fund development for a nonprofit organization; with demonstrated success in securing individual gifts.
Demonstrated excellence in organization and time management skills.
Ability to multi-task with a high level of output, detail, and accuracy.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently while also working as a member of the team.
Passion for community and helping others with a track record of professional integrity.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, business, or related field.
Background in giving programs or membership-based donor initiatives preferred.
Experience with CRM or donor databases.
Proficient with social media marketing tools and basic graphic design (e.g. Canva).
