Kenrick-Glennon Seminary

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Development Director, the Stewardship and Events Coordinator will provide support for the fundraising programs and events of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary. This position is responsible for managing the donor stewardship program and coordinating various special events. The role interacts with key seminary donors, volunteers, faculty, staff, and seminarians.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Organize donor stewardship system, tracking and reporting next steps for each current or potential donor and ensure that donors receive benefits associated with the annual giving society.
  • Coordinate regular events (such as the Fiat Women’s Group) and one-time activities (such as donor receptions, tours, etc).
  • Maintain primary responsibility for the successful planning, implementation, and execution of annual events such as the Alumni Day (October), Convivium Dinner Auction (November), Open House (February), and more.
  • Provide support for volunteers and assist in volunteer recruitment.
  • Provide other assistance as needed and requested.

Knowledge & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Prior development and event experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to successfully motivate, engage, support, and manage volunteers, donors, and team members.
  • Experience in Raiser’s Edge preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software programs, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Physical Demands:

  • Hands-on participation with event set-up is required.
  • Ability to lift items from floor to shoulder level and carry a minimum of 20 pounds.

Relationships Requirements:

  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others is essential.
  • Must be able to build professional relationships with staff and faculty, seminarians and alumni, volunteers, donors, and visitors to the campus.
  • Must be responsive to the Development Director and other staff at all times.
  • Must keep the Development Director apprised of any situations that could result in disruption to operations at the Kenrick Glennon Seminary.
