Missouri Public Charter School Commission
The Missouri Charter Public School Commission (MCPSC) invites accomplished leaders to apply for the position of Executive Director. This role presents a rare opportunity to lead a statewide public education authorizer at a pivotal moment for education quality, access, and accountability in the state of Missouri.
MCPSC serves as Missouri’s largest statewide charter authorizer and is widely recognized for its disciplined approach to quality, autonomy, and public trust. The Executive Director serves as the Commission’s chief executive, strategic leader, and public steward—responsible for advancing the Commission’s mission, leading a high-performing staff, and navigating a complex political and educational landscape while keeping student outcomes at the center of decision-making.
The successful candidate will bring proven executive leadership experience in education or public systems; a deep understanding of accountability, governance, and organizational change; strong political and relational acumen; and the ability to translate strategy into durable systems that build trust and capacity.
This is an opportunity for a leader motivated not only by operational excellence but by the responsibility to strengthen public education options for Missouri families and steward a system that balances growth, quality, and equity.
