Position Summary
Job Title: Operations Assistant
Reports to: Artistic Director
We’re looking for a reliable, organized, and compassionate individual to support our daily operations. If you love keeping things organized, managing details, and being part of a purpose-driven team, this is the role for you! The operations assistant plays a key role in the day-to-day operations of our organization. This position provides administrative, financial, fundraising, and program support to ensure smooth operations and effective logistics.
What is the Crescendo Youth Choirs?
The Crescendo Youth Choirs is a non-profit youth choral organization founded in 1992 as the Kirkwood Children’s Chorale. The organization has 3 separate choral ensembles that serve singers in grades 1st-12th across the greater St. Louis area and meet for a weekly Wednesday evening rehearsal in the Kirkwood area. The ensembles perform in season headlining Winter and Spring concerts as well as various events and collaborations throughout the season. The mission of the Crescendo Youth Choirs is to provide quality, singer-focused vocal training in a program that promotes fun, friendship, confidence and success.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative support, including scheduling, rentals, ticket sales, event/concert logistics, and more.
- Update and maintain databases (JackRabbit), website, and social media.
- Process tuition payments, scholarship application, discounts, and merchandise payments through JackRabbit
- Facilitate uniform measurement, payment, and orders.
- Attend bi-monthly board meetings and present an informative report.
- Collaborate with faculty, volunteers, and board members to support the organization’s mission and daily operations.
Qualifications
- Passion for the arts.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable using basic technology and willingness to learn new software programs.
- Ability to do most administrative operations remotely.
- Highly organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple priorities, including one-time projects.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Schedule and Compensation
- 4-6 hours per week, with busy and non-busy times throughout the season. Wednesday evening rehearsals and occasional weekend events/performances are required to assist with logistics.
- Administrative operational assistance can be done remotely.
- $6,500 annually
- Health insurance and other benefits are not provided
- Non-W2 contracted employee
