Status: Part-Time and Full-Time Opportunities Available
Starting Pay: $17/hour
Weekend Pay Differential: +$1/hour for all weekend hours
Higher Starting Pay Available For:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in any field (especially related fields)
Relevant childcare certifications (e.g., CNA, CMT)
Additional experience in child care
Position Summary:
The Child Specialist (CS) plays a vital role in providing compassionate physical, social, and emotional care to children admitted to the Crisis Nursery. CS team members lead structured playgroups, support a consistent daily routine, and maintain a clean, safe, and nurturing environment. The CS also assists families by providing crisis support and connecting them with resources.
Shift Options:
7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
Qualifications:
Required: High School diploma or GED
Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., child development, psychology, education)
